Metallographic Laboratory

The metallographic analysis laboratory at Ebroacero is key to quality control., allowing for verification of production processes and ensuring that each piece meets the required technical and regulatory specifications. Through these analyses, we accurately identify the percentages of essential chemical elements, strengthening traceability and material quality.

  • Laboratory of spectrometryWe have two high-resolution optical spark spectrometers, essential for validating and ensuring steel composition.
  • Laboratory of Mechanical Tests:
      • Tensile testing machine which allows us to obtain key mechanical properties such as tensile strength and yield strength. These parameters are essential for certifying the quality of the material and ensuring its compliance with our clients' requirements.
      • Charpy testing equipment which allow evaluating the material's toughness at different temperatures, with tests reaching -46 °C. These analyses are fundamental for determining the steel's behavior under demanding conditions and completing the mechanical characterization alongside strength and yield strength values, ensuring its suitability for critical industrial applications.
      • Hardness testing equipment We have a portable hardness testing unit that allows us to accurately determine the hardness of our materials, both on the part and on test specimens.
  • Laboratory of Optical microscopyWe have an advanced inverted microscope that combines speed and precision, integrates contrast techniques and specialized software, and allows for sample analysis with reliable and reproducible results, optimizing inspection and quality control processes even in demanding environments.
