For the fifth consecutive year, we are publishing our Sustainability Report 2023highlighting our continuous progress in the integration of ESG (environmental, social and governance) criteria in all our activities and strategic decisions. This document is available in the ESG of the web.
What is a sustainability report?
A sustainability report is a report that provides a comprehensive view of an organization's performance in economic, social and environmental terms, improving transparency, complying with international regulations and standards, identifying risks and opportunities, attracting investment and fostering a sustainable corporate culture.
ESG Criteria
The ESG criteria, which are fundamental for assessing a company's performance in sustainability and corporate responsibility, are divided into three components:
Environmental:
Company's impact on the environment, including resource management, emissions and sustainable practices.
Social (Social):
Employee, community and other stakeholder relations management, encompassing human rights, diversity, workplace safety and community engagement.
Governance:
Corporate governance structure and practices, including board composition, risk management, financial transparency and business ethics.
These criteria are increasingly relevant to investors and consumers, who value responsible companies that can generate solid financial results and a positive impact on society and the environment over the long term.

This is a summary of the ESG measures we have taken at Ebroacero.
Environmental
The main strategy we follow in environmental matters is to be a sustainable and circular company. With the development of circularity in all our operations where we have the capacity to influence and participate in joint projects with allies in the circular economy.
In 2023 we have carried out several projects to continue with this premise:
- We collaborate with Sponsor an Olive Tree in its fight against depopulation through the recovery, conversion and enhancement of the abandoned centenary olive grove.
- Replacing the purchase of cleaning cloths and blankets with a pay-as-you-go system with the wipes manufacturer MEWA TEXfollowing the principle of "use rather than acquire".
- Substitution of the manual oxyfuel process for the cutting of the marbret for an automatic marbret breaker, contributing to environmental sustainability by reducing polluting emissions and minimizing the waste of resources.
- We support the initiative of Sustainable Digitalization contributing to the circular economy through the reuse of electrical appliances at the end of their useful life, and promoting universal access to technology.
- Ecodese is responsible for the destruction of archival documents and their subsequent recycling, thus contributing to the preservation of the environment and the sustainable management of resources.
- We participated in the VII "Pencils and Smiles" campaign, where company employees contribute school supplies for families without resources.
- A system of renting work clothes is contracted, thus preventing potential risk situations.
- Our commercial department has considerably reduced the number of trips abroad and replaced them with video from our offices. This reduces our impact on the environment.
- The production staff eats in the company's canteen, avoiding trips back and forth to eat at home, with a significant reduction in vehicle trips.
- We have created two posters to raise awareness about the responsible use of energy and water.
We have also obtained several seals during this year:
- Silver Medal of Ecovadis. This means that we are among the top 25% worldwide, reflecting our sustainability management system.
- Aragon Social Responsibility Seal. This is the fourth year that we have received it, this seal meant the launching of a structured social responsibility management and the elaboration of a first Social Responsibility Plan for the year 2020.
- Aragon Circular Seal. It is a strategy driven by the Public Administration that aims to promote the circular economy. The strategy includes a recognition and valorization of the leading companies in the transition to the new circular economic model.
Social
We are a diverse and inclusive company. We collaborate with the development of projects and participate in initiatives to improve social inclusion and support diversity in all areas. In addition, we have alsoWe want to be seen by society as a company committed to our environment and to our society, giving visibility to the actions we carry out and encouraging the generation of new actions.
To pursue this objective we have been involved in several projects.
- Participation in the program "4th and company. Let's go!"driven by the San Valero group.
- Visit to the factory of the students of the superior degree in production programming in mechanical manufacturing of the San Valero Center.
- For the second consecutive year, we have joined the "FP++ Profession Chair", promoted by the San Valero Group.
- We conducted a prevention and first aid workshop for the children of our employees.
- Annual campaign of the Adecco foundation to support the labor integration of people with disabilities.
- We collaborate with the Aspanoa Foundation in support of its mission to care for children with cancer in Aragon and their families.
- Contribution to the Brotherhood of the Blood of Christ in support of its mission to collect the deceased.
- Contribution to the dining room of El Carmen.
- We have participated in the IX ESIC Companies Race.
- We participated as volunteers in the XIII Atades Flea Market.
Governance
Through the deployment of a management model that includes the ethical principles that should govern business operations, human relations and is reflected in a model to be followed by all people.
- The Code of Conduct determines the expected behavior of employees in ethical matters, related to the organization's commitments and applicable regulations.
- Equality Plan, a set of measures aimed at achieving equal treatment and opportunities between women and men in the company and eliminating discrimination based on sex.
- We have implemented an ethical channel in Ebroacero, a crucial tool to promote transparency, ethics and integrity in all the company's operations. It can be found on the web site in the governance.
- We are in the process of developing and implementing a Criminal Compliance Management System.
